For a moment, the world seemed ephemeral, like it would revert to normal with the next blink of her eye.

Strange, because everything seemed so normal, so mundane; people were shopping; others were working, just like where she’d come from.

It took her several minutes to remember that only moments earlier she’d been drinking coffee halfway across the globe
